Inclusion
Inclusion and diversity on a large scale
At EuroGames Lyon 2025, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of our commitment. We create events where every athlete, whatever their origin, gender or identity, can flourish. With accessible venues, para-sport competitions, entries for trans people in the gender of their choice, and categories for non-binary athletes, we guarantee maximum inclusion. Our partners, such as the LGBT+ Federation, Handisport and SOS Homophobie, support our actions to promote a respectful and diverse sporting environment, reinforced by the signing of charters against homophobia and for inclusion.
Diversity
Building bridges between communities
We are committed to creating strong links between communities through our partnerships. By working closely with the OSL (Office des Sports de Lyon) and various sports organizations, we aim to establish a network that supports and promotes inclusion and diversity. All associations will be twinned with an LGBTQIA+ club and will sign the charter against homophobia in sport.
Working with clubs in the Lyon metropolitan area, we support them in adopting best practices for greater inclusion and diversity. Our efforts are focused on creating a lasting legacy that enriches the sporting community and fosters a more inclusive environment.
Eco-Responsibility
A strong commitment for eco-responsibility
We are firmly committed to ecological responsibility. By aiming for zero single-use plastic and using reusable cups, we reduce waste and promote sustainable practices. We favor tap water and local produce, and fight against food waste. Thanks to dedicated waste sorting teams and the use of sustainable materials, we minimize our carbon footprint. Awareness-raising workshops and facilities for soft mobility such as cycling complete our approach to offering an eco-responsible experience to all participants.
